MANA is to be enjoyed daily on an ongoing basis. The level of nutrition that MANA delivers, unavailable from regular diets or from organic food alone, makes MANA a wise addition to your lifestyle.
2. Is MANA Blend vegan and organic?
MANA is 100% vegan, raw and organic. It is also dairy free, gluten free, NON GMO and fairtrade certified.
3. What is the best way to take MANA?
MANA can be taken stirred into water, juice or a green smoothie. It can also be blended into raw recipes. Some MANA customers eat it dry from a spoon, which is especially convenient while travelling.
4.What does MANA taste like?
MANA has a subtle sweet and earthy taste. It has no added fillers or flavours of any kind so that what you get is the true flavour of Mother Earth. This unique taste can take a little getting used to, but is generally described by our broad customer base as tasting very good.
5. Is there any danger of eating too much MANA Blend?
There is no known danger of eating too much of these power foods. We recommend that you consume the daily dosage on a regular basis for optimum health. Our MANA Blend naturopath advises taking a double dose of MANA in times of illness.
6. Is there a minimum amount of MANA Blend you can eat?
For best results stay with the recommended daily dosage of 2 heaped teaspoons (10g).
7. Will my body absorb the nutrients?
The longer you take MANA Blend, the greater the chance your body will have to come into balance with the help of these high levels of nutrients. If your body has absorption issues, it’s due to physical imbalances from poor nutrition and other stressors thus far. Allow your body time to heal whilst using MANA and consult with a good naturopath. True health is an evolution.
8. Does MANA Blend need to be refrigerated?
MANA Blend needs to be kept in a clean and dry environment under 30 degrees celsius or kept refrigerated. Each 375g container of MANA is a one-month supply that has a shelf life of at least two years.
9. Are there any side effects of using MANA Blend?
Side effects can sometimes occur as part of a ‘healing crisis’. When the body begins to detoxify and heal itself on a cellular level, we may at first experience disease symptoms. Toxins, bacteria and viruses that have been trapped in the body can be released. Detox symptoms like headaches, skin rashes, lethargy, nausea or constipation may appear and the best thing to do is to KEEP GOING. Drink plenty of water – commit to two liters per day – and keep on with the MANA detox.
10. Can children take MANA Blend?
Children can benefit from the high nutrition found in MANA Blend. For children 6-12 years of age, 1.5 teaspoons a day is recommended. For children 3-6 years, 3/4 teaspoon is recommended. Children should always take MANA in liquid or with food, not dry.
11. Can pregnant or breast-feeding women take MANA Blend?
We recommend pregnant and breast-feeding women check with their doctors before they consume MANA regularly. Each woman’s physiology is completely different, as are their needs during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Although most of the ingredients in MANA are excellent for pregnancy, each woman is different and pregnancy brings heightened sensitivities and changes. Check with your obstetrician.
12. Do I take MANA Blend long term or short term?
Obtaining the nutrients we need from a standard diet has become difficult. Less than optimum soil, widespread pesticide use, genetically modified fruit and vegetables, pollution and unnaturally prolonged shelf life means drastically lowered nutrition and creates the need to supplement daily nutrition. Synthetic vitamins may be helpful short term, although recent studies are showing that synthetic vitamins can be harmful to the body. Ideally the body gains its nutrients from the very best whole foods easily recognised by the body for thousands of years. MANA Blend is designed for long-term use.
13. How does MANA preserve its nutrients if it is dried and powdered?
All the ingredients in MANA are dried at very low temperatures, many of them sun-dried, to ensure the bioactivity of the product remains at its highest. Ingredients are RAW and Organic providing excellent nutritional value direct from the plants.
14. I have heard cacao is a stimulant. Is this true?
Cacao does have a stimulating effect on the body. The type of cacao found in MANA Blend is the very best grade of cacao, the Arriba variety. Arriba cacao is free from the mycotoxins that may be associated with a “jittery” effect found in cheaper grade cacaos. Although pleasingly energising MANA Blend has not been known to produce any jittery effect whatsoever. There is also no “come down” effect experienced after the initial high of coffee or other processed stimulating foods. The experience of MANA Blend is wonderfully energising and grounding!
